Sleigh bells ring, Swansway listened

The Wish Centre Donation2

For many Christmas is a time of joy and relaxation with family and friends, but unfortunately, this isn’t the case for lots of families across the country.

Working closely with their charity partners across the UK, Swansway has returned this December with their Santa Patrol, donating Christmas gifts to those in need.  Ranging from toys to selection boxes, and winter essentials such as hats, gloves and scarves.

On behalf of Blackburn Audi, Swansway Motor Group has worked alongside The Wish Centre in Blackburn and The Foxton Centre in Preston, Swansway has taken a refreshed approach to its charity efforts in 2022, with the aim to support its charity partners during the cost-of-living crisis.

Part of this refreshed approach saw Swansway take a tailored approach to their donations, liaising directly with their charity partners, Swansway has collated specialised orders which are completely bespoke to the individual charities’ needs. Swansway Motor Group recognise that there is a recipient at the end of their donations and were determined to donate items that would suit their individual needs. Swansway’s donation was centred around Christmas gifts for children and teenagers.

Rebekah Wilson, communications officer and volunteer coordinator from The Wish Centre commented: “We’re so incredibly grateful for the support we receive from Swansway Motor Group year after year and this year is no exception. They help us to ensure that Christmas in refuge is a time of joy for the children we support, it gives them a chance to build new, happier memories for the whole family. Without the support of Swansway and other generous companies, ensuring Christmas in refuge simply isn’t something our funds would allow, they not only make it possible, but they make it magical.”

Swansway Motor Group director David Smyth commented: “It has been a difficult year for many people and we hope that our Santa Patrol donations bring a smile to the faces of those who are most in need. It’s important to us all at Swansway that we support our charity partners all year round, but to be able to round up 2022 by putting a gift under the tree for those who would usually go without is just as important, it’s a gift from our Swansway family to the families in need.”
