Haslingden-based Solomon Commercials has received a prestigious industry award for the seventh time.
The company walked away with the refrigerated rigid of the year award at the Temperature Controlled Storage and Distribution Conference (TCS&D).
The awards, held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester, recognise companies and individuals who have made a significant contribution to the industry.
Solomon Commercials manufactures temperature-controlled rigids. It works in partnership with food retailers and transporters to provide vehicles that transport products quickly and safely while minimising environmental impact.
The judging panel praised Solomon Commercials’ continual product innovation and raising of industry standards.
The panel also singled out the company’s dedication to continually exploiting aerodynamic technologies to improve fuel efficiency and reduce vehicle emissions.
Anthony Clegg, Solomon Commericals’ managing director, said: “It’s a great privilege to win the award for the seventh time, and we beat off some very tough competition in this category.
