Serving coffee at the North Lancs Expo 2022

On Friday we exhibited at North Lancs Expo 2022 at Lancaster and Morecambe College. We served Doghouse on filter and met with businesses, business owners and students, getting the Carringtons brand out and talked about in the local community. Our exhibition stand made with wood off-cuts from the roastery came in at under £100 spend ( playwood.it connectors worked a treat) and Suzy, the official photographer for the event, further kept costs down suzywimbournephotography.com Sometimes it gets a little frantic juggling multiple job roles between the two of us but somehow, out of necessity we get through it. And right now, we wouldn’t have it any other way…     Making the decision to close our take-away coffee offering at the roastery was a difficult one. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the time spent really getting to know our local community, visitors and tourists but as the business grows this is one area that costs more than it makes. It was when we were simultaneously roasting, serving a coffee, conducting a business meeting and then another business customer walked in that confirmed - we’re getting busier and we need to do something about this.
