Service station sold for £2m

The filling station sits on the A6, a busy main road near to Carnforth, and comprises an Esso branded forecourt alongside a convenience store trading under the Nisa banner.

Ascona Group, a South West Wales based, multi-site petrol filling station operator, purchased the site, making it the group's eighth forecourt. The group has plans to build a portfolio of more than 50 such stations across the UK.

James Moore-Martin, associate director at Christie & Co, handled the sale. He said: “It was a pleasure to assist the Vincent family in finding a new operator to take over operations at Mossdale Service Station. "The well-established business attracted significant interest from the market, resulting in multiple offers. As a result, we were able to negotiate an accepted offer for the vendor that included a significant premium in excess of the asking price.”
