Seeking the difference-makers aged under 36

Lancashire Business View is to profile those aged under 36 who are already making their impact in the business world in the magazine’s next Sub 36 showcase in association with Lancashire Skills Hub.

The Sub 36 programme, one of the magazine’s longest-running programmes, supports members of the business community aged under 36 through networking events and editorial coverage.

This latest showcase, set to be published in the May/June edition, will highlight individuals - including business owners, decision-makers and key employees - who are already making an impact within their own organisation, within their local community or within their sector.

Nominations are open until April 13, before a panel of judges will select the most inspiring entries for inclusion within the feature.

To really impress the judges, we’ll be asking for specific examples of impact an individual has made.

Dr Michele Lawty-Jones, Director of the Lancashire Skills Hub, said: "We are delighted to announce that we are sponsoring the Sub 36 showcase for the second year running. The Skills Hub helps create a vibrant Lancashire economy by encouraging businesses to invest in the skills development of their employees, and inspire the next generation of future employees.

"Taking the opportunity to highlight the contribution that young people make to business in Lancashire is key. We want to hear fantastic stories of young people's achievements and their impact so that they can be highlighted to employers and inspire young people still in education across the county."

Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “Some of the most exciting advancements within individual businesses and wider sectors are being driven forward by some of the business community’s youngest representatives and we are looking forward to sharing their stories.

“We meet a great many inspiring young people in our day-to-day work but we also know that there are many more that we are still yet to meet. That’s why we’re encouraging people to nominate themselves, and their colleagues, so that we can learn more about them and raise their profile across the county and beyond.”
