Ronset to reap environmental benefits with HP Latex Buy

Large-format and digital print specialist Ronset has invested in an HP Latex 360 to boost its capacity and benefit from the Greenguard Gold certified inks used with the device.

The 1.6 metre-wide machine, which is additional to the Blackburn firm’s plant list, was bought from London-based reseller Perfect Colours and installed at Ronset’s purpose-built 465sqm premises at the end of January.

Ronset commercial director, Chris Durham, said: “The quality on our existing HP Latex 26500 machinery is fantastic and this device is faster and slightly wider than that.

“The Greenguard ink technology means there are no toxins in the ink, which allows us to put printed items such as Bespoke Wallpaper, Vinyl Wall Art, Banner Stands, Banners and Posters into schools, nurseries, colleges, hospitals and care homes without any Environmental issues.

“Greenguard has certainly raised eyebrows; it’s something people look at and is a great addition to what we can offer.”

The HP investment follows the purchase of two Konica Minolta bizhub Press C1085s, which were installed in September and replaced a Konica Minolta bizhub Press C8000.

The business retained an existing Konica Minolta bizhub Press C7000 and also operates an HP FB500 flatbed printer and a Summa F Series flatbed cutter.

The firm also runs a Morgana BM2000S bookletmaker with AC510 collator and FTR2000 trimmer, which it bought last summer. Durham said total investment in new equipment over the last 12 months has come to more than £250,000.

Ronset, which has 11 staff and a turnover of around £750,000, was established as a hot metal monotype typesetter in 1961 before moving into phototypesetting and reprographics, and later digital and wide-format printing. The business serves customers including printers, Print Management Companies, Advertising Agencies, Local Businesses, Schools, Colleges and Charities.
