Roadshow Promotions launch smoking cessation support bus for Wakefield Council

Roadshow Promotions have been appointed by Wakefield Council to launch the Yorkshire Smokefree Bus.

This single-decker mobile health bus is designed to provide specialist stop-smoking support across the Wakefield district, making it more convenient for residents to access smoking cessation support.

The Smokefree Bus made stops at key community locations, launching outside Wakefield Cathedral then visiting Wakefield One, Junction 32, Pontefract Market, Pinderfields and Asda Glasshoughton.

By bringing essential services directly to the community, the mobile clinic conversion has made a positive impact on individuals looking to quit smoking.

Onboard the community outreach bus, there was a consultation room where visitors could talk to trained specialists who provided free stop-smoking support, expert advice, guidance on prescription products, and ongoing encouragement to aid their quit journey.

Every aspect of the bus was tailored to ensure that users felt supported and empowered to take steps toward a healthier future.
