RKMS Group, a family-run business with deep roots in Blackpool, is thrilled to announce the launch of RKMS Academy, a dedicated training division designed to revolutionise how businesses and individuals approach professional development.

Since 1994, RKMS Group has been a leader in delivering high-quality training and consultancy services.

With the introduction of accredited courses in the early 2000s, RKMS has built a reputation for excellence. The launch of RKMS Academy is a natural evolution, creating a distinct identity for the Group’s training arm to make it easier for clients to access tailored learning solutions.

At RKMS Academy, we believe that the most effective learning happens when it’s hands-on, engaging, and enjoyable. While our courses cover serious topics, we reject the “death by PowerPoint” approach, focusing instead on real-world, practical experiences.

Practical Learning Highlights:

  • CPR Training: Gain life-saving skills with hands-on CPR practice that builds confidence and prepares participants for real-life emergencies.
  • Fire Safety: Experience the proper use of fire extinguishers in live demonstrations, equipping learners with the knowledge to act quickly and effectively in the event of a fire.
  • Scenario-Based Training: Across all our courses, we emphasise real-life scenarios to ensure learners are ready to apply their knowledge where it matters most.

Rebecca Hoogerwerf (nee Keen), operations director said: "We’ve designed our courses to be immersive and interactive because learning should be memorable and effective. Whether it’s putting out a fire or performing CPR, these are skills that could one day save a life. That’s why we focus on real-life application, not just theory.”

With over 30 years of experience, RKMS Group has been a pioneer in delivering practical training. By creating RKMS Academy, the company underscores its commitment to providing clear, focused, and impactful learning experiences.

Joshua Keen, technical director, said: "Our training has always been rooted in practicality. Creating RKMS Academy allows us to build on that legacy, offering courses that prioritise hands-on learning while ensuring everyone walks away feeling empowered and capable.”

At RKMS Academy, we recognise the importance of a positive learning environment. While our topics – like health & safety, first aid, and compliance – are critical, we believe training can also be enjoyable.

Our expert trainers create an engaging atmosphere that encourages participation and ensures everyone leaves with valuable skills and a smile.

Rooted in Blackpool, RKMS Academy is committed to making training accessible to both businesses and individuals. By offering practical workshops, on-site sessions, and online courses, we provide flexible options for everyone.

John Keen, CEO, said: "Our goal is to equip people with the skills they need in the real world.

“Whether you’re learning to extinguish a fire or mastering compliance standards, our Academy is here to support you every step of the way.”

RKMS Academy is now open for registrations. Explore our full range of interactive courses and discover how RKMS Academy can help you or your business thrive at www.rkmsacademy.co.uk
