Rising stars in business to be honoured at awards
The Young ‘Uns Awards, organised by Lancashire Business View magazine and backed by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), will honour Lancashire’s young professionals across a range of categories at a ceremony held in Blackpool on June 12.But to be considered, you’ll need to act quick as nominations close on April 14. You can put a colleague forward, or submit yourself.
The last Young ‘Uns awards was held in 2012 and Lancashire Business View and UCLan are now keen to make the event a regular part of the county’s commercial calendar.From legal eagles to digital dynamos, red-hot retailers to globetrotting international traders, there are 12 categories to ensure that anyone making waves in their industry has chance to have their story heard.
There is also a Young ‘Un Business of the Year category to honour new organisations, and the most impressive entry overall will take home the esteemed ‘The Young ‘Un of 2015’ Award.Richard Slater, publisher of Lancashire Business View, said: “The Young ‘Uns idea began as a popular feature in our magazine, profiling the sharpest business minds aged 36 and under. Eventually, we had so many fantastic stories that it became obvious we needed to honour them properly.
