Ribble Wanderers U13s team will be sporting new kits next season thanks to a donation from Lovell Homes.

The house builder, which is currently onsite with two developments in the local area, Oaktree Grange in Clayton-le-Woods and Shawbrook Manor in Leyland, selected the Leyland-based junior football team following a call-out to support grassroots junior sports clubs in the area. The sponsorship of Ribble Wanderers U13’s new kit follows a recent donation to local swimming club, Leyland Barracudas.

Recently promoted to the Central Lancs Premier League and managed by ex Manchester United and England Schoolboy International Rob Trees, the U13 team will be running out on the pitch in Lovell Homes branded shirts for the 2019-2020 season.

Simon Corbett, field sales manager at Lovell Homes North West said: “We received a fantastic response to our call-out to help local junior sports clubs, however, we were keen to help the U13s celebrate their promotion and move to playing 11 x 11 by providing them with a set of new kits.

“Creating a lasting legacy for the local communities we work within is hugely important to Lovell Homes and we look forward to supporting Ribble Wanderers and other local groups and organisations in the coming months.”

Mike Oliver from Ribble Wanderers said: “We were delighted to receive this kind donation from Lovell Homes. As a grass roots football team, budgets are tight and contributions like this help us immensely in providing the teams with the right equipment to keep playing a game they all love so much. In addition, as a club we raise money for local charities having recently raised over £1500 for St. Catherine’s Hospice. Donations like this enable us to keep running the club and supporting our local community.”

Located in an established residential area of Clayton-le-Woods, Oaktree Grange is its own small haven, yet situated within easy reach of the motorway network and a short walk from Leyland train station. Using a wealth of sustainable materials and offering a premium specification, including brand name appliances from Bosch and ceramic tiling from Porcelanosa, Oaktree Grange includes a playground and plenty of open space, making it an ideal development for families.

Oaktree Grange is located in Clayton-Le-Woods, off Dallington Avenue, PR25 5AG. The marketing suite is open 7 days a week, from 10am to 5pm. Call 01772 507 453, or visit https://www.lovell.co.uk/developments/oaktree-grange-clayton-le-woods/.

Shawbrook Manor is Lovell Homes’ latest development in Leyland offering a collection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes and two-bedroom bungalows, located less than two miles from Leyland train station and just minutes from the M6.

As part of the Government’s ‘Accelerated Construction’ initiative, all the homes at Shawbrook Manor will be completed within a timeframe of 36 months -  double the monthly rate for the area - and incorporate modern methods of construction (MMC).

Shawbrook Manor’s show homes will be opening later this year. In the meantime, prospective purchasers can find out more by visiting Oaktree Grange. Visits relating to Shawbrook Manor are by appointment only. For more information visit www.lovell.co.uk/developments/shawbrook-manor
