Rescue and recovery company gain special recognition

A popular rescue and recovery company has ‘RACked’ up another award, as it celebrates special recognition for its nationwide service.

RAC Breakdown Cover and Car Insurance held its annual awards ceremony in April, and John Macadam and Son was thrilled to be invited and presented with the special recognition award. RAC owners praised the company for its consistently high levels of service and performance.

Steve Davis, control room manager at Macadam, said: “It’s great to work with RAC, and to be recognised like this, and know your team are doing the right thing, means a lot.

“The awards ceremony at Pall Mall was a real treat; its history, the building and the lovely meal made it a day we won’t forget in a long time.”

The RAC Contractor of the Year awards were held at the Royal Automobile Club and recognised top performing contractors. The awards were presented by Damian O’Connor, head of operations development at RAC.

Ross Calvert, area service manager at Macadam, also attended the event alongside Steve Davis.

He said: “We’re thrilled to be recognised as one of the best in the industry. Even after devastating flood damage at one of our depots, we managed to maintain high standards, and demonstrate true professionalism and spirit. “Our customers always come first and it’s a great accolade for John Macadam and Son.”
