Altius Group is celebrating topping the 2021 UK Refinitiv Small-Cap and Mid-Market Merger and Acquisitions league tables. Achieving the position of the UK’s leading M&A adviser firmly cements the group's robust performance and emits the positive sparks of the mid-market sectors that have shown true resilience within these turbulent pandemic conditions.

This success is followed by Altius Group ranking fifth in the European, Middle East and Asia tables in the Small-Cap category and seventh in the worldwide Mid-Market category.

The Preston-headquartered company has “achieved ground-breaking records” in several of the sectors it operates in. The company has seen a strong performance across all of the sectors which it operates in contributing to Altius Group securing in excess of £500m in total value of offers received in 2021 for their sale mandates.

The Altius Group have consistently championed business resilience during the pandemic. Operating within the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) space means they keep their ear firmly to the ground and are continuously absorbing information from both a seller and buyers’ perspective.

Experts within the Altius Group predict that the resilience of businesses in certain markets will create significant demand for SMEs that have withstood the pressures of the pandemic and have a healthy appetite for growth post pandemic. This will provide numerous opportunities for companies seeking to expand.

Paul Miller, CEO at Altius Group stated: “We are incredibly excited about what 2022 holds for the mergers and acquisitions throughout the UK. The Altius Group is now in a prime position to support client acquisition and divestment strategies across the globe. I’d like to thank all of our staff for their dedication and hard work.”

Andrew K Steen, sales and marketing director at Altius Group said: “This is a fantastic achievement that paves the way to scale our business to the next level. We’re a strong workforce with bigger ambitions planned for 2022 that will place Preston firmly on the map in the mergers and acquisitions space.”
