Homebuilder Redrow is set to expand its Worden Gardens development in Leyland after acquiring land to deliver its final two phases.
The acquisition means it can bring forward plans to build another 150 homes – bringing the total number on the project to 390.
Redrow began work at Worden Gardens, located on Leyland Lane, in 2019, and has since sold 208 homes to date across the first three phases.
An area to the north of the wider development will be transferred to Worden Estates as an extension to Worden Park, which is popular for dog walks, picnics and time spent outdoors.
Steve Jackson, regional sales director at Redrow, said: “We’re pleased to be bringing forward the final two phases of Worden Gardens, which will complete this much-loved development.
“It has been rewarding to see this thriving community take shape. These final phases will allow more families to put down roots here and enjoy high-quality homes in a location that has proven to be such a popular choice.”
He added: “The strong demand we have seen reflects the appeal of the homes and the sense of community that has grown here.
“Residents have embraced the development for its thoughtful design, access to green space and close connections to local amenities.
“As we move into the final stages, our focus remains on completing Worden Gardens in a way that continues to benefit both new residents and the wider local area.”
