Colne Town Council are offering a fantastic range of camping and caravan deals for The Great British R&B festival’s official festival campsite.

Following on from record camping ticket sales in 2022, camping will be available from Thursday 24th August at 1pm until Tuesday 29th August at 10am, at Colne & Nelson Rugby Club on Harrison Drive.

For those looking to make a weekend of it, full festival camping for a two person tent works out at just £8.40 per night, making this one of the best value festivals in the UK.

The campsite includes shower and toilet facilities, as well as food and drink facilities, while a shuttle bus will be running to and from the site throughout the festival. For those who prefer  to travel on foot, the two main venues are just a 15 minute walk from the campsite.

Colne & Nelson Rugby Club is also a confirmed venue for the Official Fringe Festival, meaning a full programme of free entertainment will be on site from Thursday night and running through to early evening on Monday 28th August.

Camping tickets include full festival camping for a two person tent, four person tent and camper/caravan, as well as individual night camping on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with options available for two person tents, four person tents and camper/caravans on each night.

You can book your camping tickets here: https://www.bluesfestival.co.uk/tickets/

Nathan Cutler, Colne Town Council’s Events Officer, said: “Following on from last year’s extremely successful camping ticket sales, we are seeing a high number of bookings already this year and I would recommend getting yours quickly to avoid disappointment.

“The Great British R&B Festival is one of the most popular UK festivals in the calendar and each year, more and more people are looking to make a weekend of it and enjoy themselves in our beautiful little town.”

Organisers of the 2023 Great British R&B Festival, Colne Town Council in partnership with Colne Blues Society, have already announced a star-studded line-up for this year’s event showcasing the very best of blues music and the genre’s talented future stars.

The festival will feature over 30 artists across two stages including the Pendle Hippodrome and The Exchange Project Stage.

Headlining the 2023 festival will be UK Blues Artist of the Year, UK Blues Vocalist of the Year and UK Blues Album of the Year winner Elles Bailey; Aynsley Lister, who is one of the hottest contemporary blues guitarists and considered by many to be amongst the best in the world; and soul, blues and rock legends Xander and The Peace Pirates, whose pervasive blend of inspired songwriting and memorable performances has seen them enrapture audiences from around the world.

Full festival and individual day tickets can be purchased online here: https://www.bluesfestival.co.uk/tickets/

Alongside the two main venues, Colne Blues Society will also be programming the Official Fringe Festival which will see blues and rock acts from all over the UK performing across 12 Official Fringe venues, which are free to attend.
