PWA Planning recruits two

Preston-based planning consultancy PWA Planning has made two new appointments, just a month after completing its move to new larger offices.

Rachael Leather and Daniel Strode have joined PWA as planning technician and graduate planner respectively. The pair will support the practice’s associates and senior planners on a wide range of planning projects.

Paul Walton, director of PWA Planning, said: “Rachael and Daniel coming on board brings new energy and ideas to the practice. They will provide vital planning support to our senior team, allowing us to continue providing an excellent service to our clients.”

Rachael, who lives in Southport, has a BA (Hons) in Geography from University of Manchester. She joins from fuel management services provider Fairbanks Environmental where she has worked for the last five years on environmental projects with major oil and petroleum companies.

Daniel, who has relocated to Preston from Yorkshire, completed his MSc in Urban Design and International Planning at the University of Manchester in December 2016, having graduated in 2015 with a BA (Hons) in Town and Country Planning.

His planning experience includes work placements with Sheffield City Council’s housing and regeneration team and the planning department at Bradford City Council. The appointment of Rachael and Daniel takes staff numbers at PWA Planning to ten. The firm moved to new premises at Lockside Office Park in the Riversway Docklands area of Preston earlier this month.
