In a flying start to 2020, Pure AV is nominated in two separate award ceremonies. InAVate Magazine has named the upgrade of the audiovisual facilities in the STEM building at the University of Bedfordshire as a finalist in the 2020 InAVation awards. While AV News has selected the Central Science Laboratory (CSL), Keele University, as one of three shortlisted in their search for the 2020 Education Project of the Year.

Both projects involve the deployment of technology to support flexible teaching in the critical area of STEM education and research. Each is a part of significant investment programmes by University clients to underpin ambitious growth plans in the field of science teaching and research.

Pure AV is delighted to be once again shortlisted at the InAVation Awards, the highly respected annual award ceremony from InAVate magazine. The STEM building at the University of Bedfordshire is one of ten developments selected from entrants worldwide for the fiercely contested category of Most Innovative Education Facility.

Robert Keane, Vice-Chancellor at the University, described the STEM building as, “an icon for the town, symbolising the University of Bedfordshire’s commitment to skills, scientific discovery and an unimaginable future”. Pure AV is delighted to have played a part in bringing that building to fruition.

The team will find out whether they have been successful at the InAVation awards dinner to be held during the audiovisual industry’s biggest trade event, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), in Amsterdam on February 12.

ISE is also the home of the AV News Awards; hosted by AV News magazine, the breakfast award ceremony is traditionally held on the first day of the week-long trade event. In 2020, the tradition continues, and Pure AV will find out whether they have successfully secured the title of Education Project of the Year with the Central Science Laboratories at Keele University, on the morning of February 11.

Well regarded within Europe's audiovisual industry, the AV News Awards focus on the recognition of the people and community that make the audiovisual business thrive. The Education project category recognising innovation, sustainability and effectiveness in the design and deployment of audiovisual solutions within an education environment.

The Central Sciences Laboratories at Keele University, opened in September last year to provide a student-focused learning environment with world-class facilities that underpin the University’s ambitious growth plans in science teaching and research.
