Pure AV at 15 - Talking Technology & Team Building

“Our success over the years has come from the quality of the people we have on the team, supported by strong supplier relationships and interaction with an innovative and loyal customer base. As we celebrate our 15 Year anniversary, it made sense to bring each of these groups together."

Later in the afternoon, the doors opened to end customers including, businesses, healthcare organisations and universities, to explore the technology on display and have a glimpse at the ongoing developments to the Preston office.

Many of the vendors present at the Tech day have been part of the Pure AV solution portfolio from the beginning. Others are newer additions, as emerging technologies have brought them into the solution roadmap. All were extremely positive about the day’s format; the feedback from Stephen Bell of Extron echoing the sentiment of participating suppliers.

With around fifty end customers in attendance, including local businesses, healthcare institutions and universities, the turnout for the day exceeded all expectations as Pure AV marketing manager, Erica Whittle explained. “To have fifty customers through the door on a wet and windy November day was fantastic; particularly as we only decided to open it up to end customers a couple of weeks’ before the launch date”. Whittle continued, “The tech day was originally planned as an internal training session, but to have twenty vendors gathered together in a northern venue is quite unusual and we felt that the event would offer value to our customers. It was also a great way to bring our customers into the celebrations for our 15th anniversary."

The evening had a Superhero theme and included an update from managing director, Peter Sutton and the newly formed Strategic leadership Team, before the announcement of the 15 Year Anniversary Superhero award. This year awarded to two individuals, Gill Casey and Peter Twentyman, who were recognised by their peers for outstanding contribution to the experience of working at Pure AV.
