Property litigator joins Napthens

Experienced litigator David Bailey has joined Napthens solicitors as commercial property disputes partner.

David, of Grimsargh near Preston, joins the Lancashire law firm from Taylors Solicitors, where he held a similar role. At Napthens he will focus on commercial landlord and tenant disputes.

David has acted for a number of property investment and holding companies with UK-wide portfolios, dealing exclusively with their property disputes. He also represents corporate tenants in disputes with their landlords.

He is regarded as one of the most experienced property litigators in Lancashire, and specialises in areas of law including rent arrears, break clauses, disrepair, forfeiture/eviction, business tenancy issues and professional negligence claims involving property.

In his career he has won major cases against internet service providers and telecoms companies as well as national house builders. Iain Wharton, head of Litigation at Napthens, said: “David is a highly experienced litigator and Napthens’ reputation acting for the property sector means his advice will bring real benefit for our clients.”
