Preston geek thriving in Winckley Square

Jeremy Coates founded Magma Digital Ltd, a bespoke software development agency, in his spare bedroom in April 1999.

The Preston-based company, that now resides in Winckley Square offices, has gone from strength to strength ever since and 2013 was a particularly special year for Magma Digital.

During 2013, the company has made seven new appointments and is pleased to have been commisioned by seven new signifcant clients.

Three young adult interns were given permanent contracts and welcomed to the team on a full time basis, as well as three new graduates taken on as direct appointments.

Magma Digital has flourished throughout the recession, enjoying continued growth in turnover. Having had 25 per cent growth in turnover in 2011 and 45 per cent growth in 2012 , the agency is on track for a 68 per cent increase in turnover this financial year. This success and the substantial investment in their workforce led to their recent recognition as Downtown Lancashire's Employer of the Year 2013.
