Preston College, one of Lancashire’s leading educational institutions, is proud to announce the official launch of its Business School. The Business School will encompass our existing and extensive portfolio of business and professional courses; enabling our learners to study, train, upskill and progress through various educational pathways, from Level 1 to Level 5.

This school will equip our learners with the skills, knowledge and real-life experiences that are necessary to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of modern business, providing them with an all-inclusive learning experience, which offers practical skills development and invaluable industry insights, all whilst being taught by our industry-led professionals.

Sam McKenna, head of school for business says: “We are thrilled to offer this new initiative where all of our business and professional courses will now reside under the umbrella of the ‘Business School’.

“At Preston College we teach, develop and support our learners with the required skills in order for them to reach their potential and to become exceptional in their roles. Whether that be through bespoke adult courses, apprenticeships, higher education or upskilling in their current roles, we maintain a strong emphasis on experiential learning. This allows our learners to apply their knowledge in practical settings; enjoy networking opportunities with a multitude of guest speakers and careers events, and in some instances, have real-life job interviews.”

The Business School offers a robust curriculum that covers a wide range of business disciplines, including, but not exhaustive to, leadership and management, HR, finance, customer service, project management and business administration.

Preston College is committed to inspiring, educating and supporting our diverse community to reach its potential and developing the future business leaders and entrepreneurs. With this in mind, the Business School aims to cultivate a new generation of professionals who will be equipped to excel in their chosen career and enjoy future career progression.

The Preston College Business School is set to officially launch on 6 November 2024 and our team will be on hand at our upcoming Adult Open Advice evening on 8 November 5-7pm. This will be an opportunity for prospective learners and employers to meet the team and discuss the various programmes, pathways, bespoke in-house training, and the funding available.
