Josh Paladino, a standout Level 3 Sports and Fitness scholarship learner from Preston College, is gearing up for his professional boxing debut on Saturday 7 September 2024 as he steps into the ring at Liverpool's Fusion Nightclub to compete in the highly anticipated Super Welterweight tournament.

Jodi Collum, curriculum leader for Sport and former tutor for Josh, says: “Josh's journey has been nothing short of inspiring. As the son of a professional boxer, Josh has always been passionate about the sport. His dedication and hard work have been evident since his days as a scholarship learner, where he consistently demonstrated exceptional talent and determination.”

Josh says: "I am feeling good and as prepared as I can be for the match. I have had so much support from friends and family, which means the world to me. My journey has been fuelled by their encouragement, and I am ready to give my best performance in the ring."
