Preston-based planning consultancy PWA Planning has added three new recruits to its team.

Sharon Thomas has joined the firm as a senior planner working as part of PWA’s Energy Planning division.

She brings more than two decades of experience, having held roles at planning consultancies, architecture firms, housebuilders and councils, working on projects including housing, commercial, industrial and heritage buildings.

She is a chartered member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) and holds a degree in Architectural Technology from Huddersfield University.

Gabriela de Amorim has joined PWA as an assistant planner and will support the team on a range of development projects by conducting detailed site appraisals and writing planning statements.

Gabriela graduated from UWE Bristol with a degree in Urban Planning.

Nicola Hughes joins the firm as accounts assistant, working as part of the team supporting the financial operations side of the business. It marks a career change for Nicola who previously spent nine years in dental nursing.

Stella Walton, director of PWA Planning, said: “As the needs of our clients grow and diversify, so too does our team. We’re therefore thrilled to welcome Sharon, Gabriela and Nicola onboard and know clients and partners will benefit tremendously from their range of skills and experience, as we continue delivering the highest quality of services.”
