Piranha helps raise money for Save the Children UK

The Piranha team have a wide range of interests, whether it’s hobbies like climbing and sports or helping the community by collecting donations for local food banks.

This month, we put on our festive jumpers to help raise money for Save the Children UK.

Save the Children UK is a charity that works to protect children in both the UK and other areas of the world and give them a healthy start in life as well as the chance to learn.

After finding out that more than a quarter of children in the UK are growing up in poverty, we knew that we had to get involved with Christmas Jumper Day.

In 2016, the charity helped more than 22 million children and hopefully with the funds raised from this year’s Christmas Jumper Day, they can help even more.

This year, the charity event took place on the 15th December, and with Christmas only 10 days away, we were more than happy wear our festive knits!

Thousands of businesses and individuals from all over the UK joined in with Christmas Jumper Day, including our clients Barons.

As well as wearing our favourite festive jumpers, we also ran a sweepstake where each person had to guess which Christmassy thing turns news presenter Jon Snow into an “elfyscroogegrinch”. Items to choose from included Brussel sprouts, Christmas songs in October and mince pies.

Piranha’s director Don Fryer said; “It was great to see the team get into the spirit of Christmas Jumper Day. This is such a great cause and we were more than happy to be involved. “The sweepstake is still running so we are yet to count up the donations but I’m sure that the generosity of the team will have shone through!”
