Pierce hosts annual quiz in support of Youth Zone

Accountants Pierce hosted the Blackburn Youth Zone Annual Quiz at Accrington Stanley FC, bringing together businesses from across the local community for an evening of fun, friendly competition and fundraising in support of a fantastic local cause.

Taking over the reins from Cummins Mellor, Pierce welcomed 31 teams of four to the annual event for an evening of teamwork, laughter and friendly competition. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to test their knowledge, connect with other local businesses and take part in the fundraising efforts, with a fantastic selection of prizes up for grabs.

Blackburn Youth Zone provides young people with opportunities to build confidence, develop new skills, form friendships and take part in positive activities in a safe and supportive environment.

The event raised £13,533.80 in support of the Youth Zone.

Tamara Hitchen, fundraising and stewardship manager at Blackburn Youth Zone, said: “It was fantastic to see Pierce take over hosting our annual quiz for the first time and deliver such an incredible evening.

"The atmosphere was brilliant, and the amount raised will make a real difference to the young people we support at the Youth Zone.

"We’re hugely grateful to the whole team at Pierce for getting behind the event and helping make it such a success. It’s partnerships like this that help us continue providing a safe, inspiring place for young people across Blackburn and Darwen to belong, grow and thrive.”

After an evening of questions and challenges, Brabners came in first place, Stones Young second and Brown and Brown third.
