Blackburn based photography firm Jak Spedding Photography Ltd is focusing on growth as it marks its second birthday this month.

The company was set up by photographer Jak Spedding in May 2017, after seeing a niche in the North West business landscape for professional photography that could deliver a tangible return on investment. Calling on a decade's experience working in-house for agenices and national brands, Jak wanted to use his expertise to benefit businesses from Lancashire and beyond.

Since then, the company has expanded significantly and boasts clients in the architectural, interior and food industries.

Now, the company has announced plans to take on a new member of staff and expand into a larger business premises over the next 12 months.

Over the past 12 months alone, Jak Spedding Photography has diversified to offer two additional services to clients. After gaining permission to fly drones commercially in 2018, the company offers aerial drone photography and video through a dedicated website, www.lancashiredronecompany.co.uk

Businesses can also update their corporate headshots with another division of Jak Spedding Photography Limited, as a separate website www.theheadshotguru.co.uk was set up to meet the growing demand for professional profile pictures for websites, social media and business cards.

Since launching, Jak Spedding Photography has delivered photography for numerous clients, including Manchester United, Minky and The Ivy Manchester.

The company also regularly works with Lancashire businesses including Blackburn Youth Zone, Jones Melling, Group First and Millercare.

Managing director Jak has been shortlisted for the Food Photographer Of The Year award and Lancashire Business View’s Sub 36 Award in the creative category.

He said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating our second birthday as a business - the past two years have been a whirlwind and it’s been fantastic to establish so many great relationships with businesses both locally and nationally.

“There’s plenty in the pipeline for the next two years and beyond, so watch this space.”
