Ian said: “We decided fairly late on to take a place on the hospice team of runners and finding accommodation at this late stage has become a real problem."
That is until Glen Stock and Andrew Bannister at Unique Clean heard about Ian’s dilemma. Ian, Scott and Glen all know each other through work they do at Pendle Forest Ladies Hockey team and Glen offered help straight away.
“It seemed like a solution to Ian and Scott’s problem,” said Glen, "and especially as they’re running in aid of Pendleside Hospice, we couldn’t let a small thing like a bed for the night stop them from taking part”
Ian said: “We really appreciate Glen and Unique Campers stepping in like this; he really has saved the day. He didn’t seem too keen on running with us when we suggested it though. Maybe next year?” Ian and Scott will be running along with over forty thousand other runners on the 9th September, sponsorship and donations can be made at JustGiving.
