Pendle Leisure Trust, the non-profit organisation behind a wide range of sport, health, well-being, arts and community programmes across Pendle, has introduced Marsden Building Society’s Workplace Savings scheme for its employees.

The partnership represents a positive step in both organisations’ commitment to supporting the well-being of local people, not just physically but financially too. By offering Workplace Savings to its team, Pendle Leisure Trust is helping colleagues build healthy savings habits.

The Trust operates a range of facilities and services across the borough, including leisure centres, fitness facilities, a theatre and community well-being projects, helping local people lead healthier and more active lives.

To launch the scheme, the Marsden’s Savings Development Manager, Jilly Bell, visited Pendle Leisure Trust’s headquarters in Nelson to meet colleagues and explain the benefits of Workplace Savings.

Jilly said: “As a valued local employer that puts people and community at the heart of everything it does, we’re thrilled that Pendle Leisure Trust has chosen to invest in the financial well-being of its employees by joining our Workplace Savings scheme. We look forward to supporting their team in building positive savings habits and achieving greater financial resilience for the future.”

A spokesperson for Pendle Leisure Trust said: “At Pendle Leisure Trust, we are committed to supporting the overall well-being of our colleagues, and financial health is an important part of that. Partnering with Marsden Building Society to introduce the Workplace Savings scheme gives our team access to a simple and effective way to develop positive savings habits and plan for the future. As an organisation that champions healthier lifestyles across our communities, we're delighted to extend that support to the financial well-being of our employees as well.”
