The Pendle Business Awards, which recognises the exceptional achievements of the borough’s businesses and the people behind them, is now open for entries.

The prestigious event, now in its seventh year, is taking place at the Fence Gate, Pendle’s finest 18th century inn and hotel, on Thursday 23 July.

Brought to you by Pendle Council and Pendle Vision, the Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses right here on our doorstep.

There are 10 categories to choose from and this year there are two new ones which reflect our fast-paced digital environment and how businesses are tackling their environmental impact.

You can enter online at www.pendlebusinessawards.com until Friday 3 April.

Councillor Mohammed Iqbal, Leader of Pendle Council, added: “This is a fantastic platform to put our borough in the spotlight and spread the word about the range of wonderful companies we have here.

“Whether you’re a one-man band with a local specialist trade; a growing small to medium-sized business or a large company with a worldwide reputation, don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate what you’ve achieved!

“Seize this opportunity and help us fanfare your achievements. Enter now!”

Nelson based Riggs Autopack Ltd, leading manufacturer of high quality equipment for the food production industry, won Manufacturer of the Year in 2018 and 2014 and Most Outstanding Business of the Year (small) in 2016.

Nigel Matthews, general manager, said: “Pendle Business Awards is a fantastic way to get our business on the map.

“We’re very proud of what we do and it’s a brilliant way to celebrate what we’ve achieved.

“We were delighted to bring the award for Manufacturer of the Year back home in 2018!

“If you’re thinking about entering, just do it - it’s very easy to enter online.”

Dennis added: “Thank you to all of the businesses which have taken out sponsorship packages and are helping us to champion the area.

“Award category packages include a table of 10 people at the event, visual endorsements and recognition in all marketing materials, a bespoke video introduction of your company at the event, a full page advert in the Awards programme and more.

“There are also a variety of other sponsorship options available.”

This year’s sponsors include Unique Clean; UCLan; Barnfield Construction, Nelson Town Council and Merc Aerospace, which is again making the iconic trophies.
