Paul Turner Displays aids Piccolo Group's successful show

The Piccolo Group, which specialises in supplying unique and innovative flooring systems around the world recently exhibited at Domotex, the industry’s leading flooring event in Hanover.

The company needed a backdrop display that would be one large seamless graphic on a 10m wall and 5m wall, which would be quick and easy to install and had the minimal amount of hardware as it was to be stored in Germany for next year’s show. Storage space at exhibition halls is notoriously expensive so it was critical that the space and weight of the stand were kept to a minimum.

Having experienced poor service with the purchase of a very expensive exhibition system for the same show the previous year, The Piccolo Group was keen to ensure it didn’t encounter this situation again.

After speaking to Paul Turner Displays, the Triga System was selected due to one of its many outstanding features. It is capable of standing freely and can also clip onto the existing wall structures supplied by the exhibition hall.

This meant no large aluminium structures required to support the system and therefore everything could be packed away into one bag and easily transported and installed by one person.

The graphics were printed using a di sublimation process, which give extremely bright and well saturated colours, as well as allowing the material to be washed at a later date if necessary.

To provide the Piccolo Group with complete peace of mind, particularly after their experience the previous year, Paul Turner, managing director of Paul Turner Displays agreed to help them with the installation of the Triga system.

Paul Turner said: “As the graphic is extremely lightweight and has the ability to stretch, all creases were eliminated when attached to the Triga System. For one person it took one and a half hours to install the complete display and only 25 minutes to take it down and pack it away ready for next year’s show. Triga Systems offers substantial savings to the client in terms of transportation, staffing, subsistence, accommodation and installation costs.”

No other exhibition system is available in the UK that will allow such a large graphic display to be installed and dismantled in such a short period of time, with so few people.

Despite it being a flooring show, a number of visitors to the stand were intrigued as to how the stand was put together using so little floor area yet looked so professional as it appeared to ‘float’ off the walls. The Piccolo team were delighted with the finished result and commented: “This is the best stand we have ever had produced, we are absolutely delighted with it.”
