Paul relishes his remit to drive growth at WHN

Law firm Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors has underlined its commitment to strategic expansion with the appointment of Paul Matthews as head of its corporate and commercial team.

His remit at WHN involves building and developing the firm’s corporate and commercial practice at its seven offices across Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Paul continued: “I was inspired to join WHN largely as a result of its people and reputation. I had meetings with David McCann, who impressed me with his friendliness, professionalism, and ambitious plans to grow the firm.”

His areas of specialism include corporate and commercial transactions, mergers, acquisitions, management buyouts, shareholder arrangements, joint ventures, partnership issues, commercial contracts and terms of business.

“He brings key management skills and deep expertise to WHN. I am confident he will significantly strengthen our senior team and I’m very much looking forward to working alongside him to implement our expansion plans.” Paul was educated at Manchester Grammar School and gained his law degree at the University of Birmingham.
