Five of Lancashire’s most prominent organisations have signed on to support a celebration of the county’s businesses and their achievements.

Lancashire Business Day will take place on Friday 25 November at the home of Accrington Stanley FC and will feature inspirational talks, networking opportunities, and a chance to dine on fine Lancashire fare.

Supporting the festivities will be Bigtank, Beever and Struthers, +24 and Burnley College. Burnley Council is also supporting the event and Age Concern Central Lancashire has been confirmed as the charity partner.

Bigtank is a video production company which, since its inception in 2005, has worked with hundreds of companies from the UK and beyond including filming the regular Big Interview for Lancashire Business View.

Rob Hallam, managing director, said: "We've been a sponsor of Lancashire Business Day for a number of years and have always found it to be an amazing opportunity to network, collaborate with numerous businesses and get our brand seen and heard.

"As a business, we thrive on having opportunities to capture and promote stories from Lancashire businesses so it makes perfect sense for us to support  Lancashire Day. Plus, the benefits are not just confined to a singular day and by sponsoring we are always able to reach a wide and varied network of businesses."

Beever and Struthers is a firm of Chartered Accountants and business advisors, based in Blackburn, which has been providing accountancy and financial advice for more than a century. It currently ranks as one of the top ten in the North West.

Iain Round, partner, said: "Beever and Struthers are delighted to be a patron of Lancashire Business Day for the sixth year!

"As a growing business, with our roots firmly set in the North West, not only does this provide us with a fantastic platform to promote our business within the community, it also enables us to celebrate commerce and industry across Lancashire and encourage trade within the county."

Padiham-based +24 is a digital marketing specialist which recently recorded its best ever year after serving clients from across Lancashire for more than a decade.

Burnley College offers sixth form studies, university courses and apprenticeships from its £110m campus which have seen it become the government’s number one-ranked college in England.

Neil Burrows, assistant principal at Burnley College, said: “Once again, Burnley College is proud to be a Patron of Lancashire Business Day and celebrate the county’s exceptional achievements in a wide range of industries.

“We’re delighted to play our part in securing the future of Lancashire business by creating future leaders and a dynamic, ambitious and innovative workforce. "

Confirmed speakers for the event include Rachel Brown-Finnis, who represented England more than 80 times as a goalkeeper including appearances at the Women’s World Cup and Euros, Hive Award-winning Ram Gupta of Nybble IT, Peter Ahrens, managing director of Leyland Trucks, Sandra Cottam-Shea, managing director of SCS Logistics, George Critchley, chairman of the fast-growing True Bearing Chartered Financial Planners and Simon Entwistle of Top Hat Tours.

As well as the opportunity to be inspired and learn, all guests are encouraged to eat, drink and be merry to celebrate the red rose county. Locally-sourced food, drink and entertainment will be provided. And for those who wish to stay on, England’s World Cup fixture against the USA will be broadcast.

Stephen Bolton, managing director of Lancashire Business View which founded and organises Lancashire Business Day, said: “The challenges of recent years have shown that Lancashire has an abundance of innovation, grit and determination and it’s important to take time to celebrate this.

“We have a fantastic line-up of speakers and I am delighted that Bigtank, Beever and
Struthers, +24 and Burnley College will be involved as patrons as their support means we can create a bigger, better and more enjoyable day for all those lucky enough to attend.
