A new multi-purpose padel club opened in Blackburn at the weekend.
Slazenger Padel opened the 30,000 sq ft club features nine premium panoramic padel courts, expert coaching for all levels, a Members Bar, social spaces, pro shop, equipment hire and, for the first time within the Slazenger Padel portfolio, two dedicated pickleball courts, further broadening the appeal to new audiences and communities.
This year, Slazenger Padel is set open a minimum of 10 new clubs in 2026, totaling approximately 150 courts nationwide.
Building on the momentum of Slazenger Padel Leeds in October 2024 and Swindon in December 2025, demand for high-quality, inclusive padel facilities has surged, reinforcing Slazenger’s belief in the long-term growth of the sport.
A spokesman for Slazenger Padel said: “Padel has experienced an incredible trajectory over the past few years.
"It’s a highly social sport and a relevant younger brother of tennis, appealing to a wide array of demographics making it a natural fit for our audiences.
"Slazenger has long been synonymous with elite racquet sports, and building on its heritage in tennis, padel represents a powerful next chapter for the brand.
"Through Slazenger Padel, we believe we can grow Slazenger’s brand identity and improve the experience we deliver across the UK.”
Sport remains central to Frasers Group’s long-term strategy, and the expansion of Slazenger Padel and sponsorship of the Hexagon Cup 2026 reflects the Group’s continued investment in innovation, participation, and community driven sporting experiences.
With bold growth plans for 2026 and beyond, Slazenger Padel is firmly establishing itself as the leading force shaping the future of padel in the UK.
