One year since Waddington & Son joined forces with JWR Solicitors

On the 14th of August 2023, Waddington & Son joined forces with John Whittle Robinson Solicitors of Preston. One year on, Waddington & Son look back on all the changes that have happened since incorporation and reflect upon where they are now.  

At the outset of the incorporation, they opened a new office at Marshall House, Ringway, Preston, allowing their staff to work in a newly refurbished, open plan environment with views across the city. The office is ideally located, close to the family and criminal courts with ideal transport links and parking nearby. 

Christopher Blackburn, solicitor in their family department, retired from practice after 49 years and Colin Warner, director of Waddington & Son was honoured to speak on behalf of Lancashire solicitors at the valedictory celebration of his retirement. Mr Blackburn’s retirement was a great loss for legal services in general however, it has been onwards and upwards for Waddington & Son as their team has continued to grow with many valued members being recruited and promoted throughout the course of the year. 

Staff relations across the firm have been solidified with many fun activities organised including festive celebrations, office closure for our annual Corporate Day and the formation of their rounders team.

They have representatives from all of their departments now operating from their Preston office including family, crime and private client however, their solicitors also regularly carry out home visits to ensure that all clients needs are met.  

Much has been achieved in the last 12 months for Waddington & Son with many things on the horizon to look forward to!
