One night brings four awards for Ashberry

Pendle-based Ashberry Recruitment is on a high after scooping four awards in one day, celebrating both the company and its staff.

While directors Kate Mallinson and Jennifer Berry took the trophy for Small Business of the Year at the prestigious Red Rose Awards, members of their team collected a hat trick of accolades at the Nelson and Colne College Business Awards held on the same night.

Kate said: “We couldn’t believe it. We were getting news of the college award wins through while waiting to hear our fate at the Red Rose Awards and really felt terrible that we weren’t there to congratulate them.

“But we gave our team more reason to celebrate as we took the award in Blackpool, making it four wins within a few hours.”

Levi Sarchet won the Young Apprentice Award and Outstanding Winner of the Year and Ashberry Recruitment won an employer award for its dedication to its learners.

Jennifer added: “We couldn’t be prouder of Levi and the rest of the team who share our own passion for the business and each work hard to enjoy success. To be recognised in this way is a great boost for us all.”

On the day after the awards, college principal Amanda Melton and MP Andrew Stevenson visited Ashberry’s offices in Vantage Court, Barrowford to meet the team and find out more about the business.
