North West tech funding report

Despite recent circumstances, the North West’s tech sector is in robust health and continuing to assert its credentials as a stronghold for tech not just nationally, but on a broader global footing.

In order to do so the region needs to continue to develop its networks of investors and enhance the connectivity between key sources of funding and high growth businesses looking for smart money to scale.

"To ensure the region fulfils its growth potential, it is vital entrepreneurs and start-ups understand the funding options available and receive the support needed to utilise them. This report aims to provide this by explaining the nature of the region’s funding options and opportunities.

"Produced in collaboration with Whitecap, the report seeks to determine what it’s like trying to raise funds as an entrepreneur in the North West. To do so we conducted over 50 in-depth interviews with local entrepreneurs and funders from key players such as myNexus, Innovate UK Edge, Xploro and PPC Protect, using this insight to paint a picture of the North West’s tech funding scene and provide guidance on key issues such as how to approach funding rounds".
