After five years as NLTG’s chairman of the board of directors, Mark Durr of Durr Furniture is moving on to pastures new. He has provided exceptional support and expertise to NLTG over many years.

He is now passing the baton to managing director of Saxon Furniture, Matt Deighton. Saxon Furniture is a long-established family run business which prides itself in looking after its people as well as their customers, and we have no doubt that Matt will bring this ethos with him to NLTG.

NLTG managing director, Gareth Lindsay, said: “I am delighted that Matt will be the next chairman of NLTG. He is already a much-valued member of our board of directors, and I am very much looking forward to working even more closely with him in the future to continue the progress and success of NLTG.

"I would like to thank Mark for all his tremendous support to both NLTG and myself during his tenure as chairman, which included some challenging times for us all. We achieved a great deal during this time. I, and all at NLTG wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.”

NLTG chairman, Matt Deighton, said: “It is with great honour and enthusiasm that I step into the role of chairman at North Lancs Training Group. I would like to take this moment to pay tribute to the remarkable work of our outgoing chairman, Mark Durr.

"During Mark’s time on the board, North Lancs Training Group has achieved many noteworthy milestones and Mark has made a significant contribution to the development of the company.

"Mark's dedication and tireless efforts have set a solid foundation for our future success.

"I am truly excited to take on this responsibility and work alongside the talented team at North Lancs Training Group and build upon the legacy left by Mark and continue to foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and growth, providing exceptional training opportunities and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.”

NLTG looks forward to working with Mr Deighton and thank him for the support he has already provided.
