Nitecrest invests in new digital printing technology
Nitecrest has recently invested heavily in new digital printing technology specifically configured for the printing of plastic cards. The new HP Indigo 5600 digital press is the newest member of the plastic card print team, with the ability to run both low and high volume personalised plastic cards on demand.
The machine is becoming invaluable for Nitecrest especially the new addition to the group, Simply Plastic Cards, where small and medium sized organisations are now able to take advantage of the plastic card solutions and order online. Also new to the line-up is the Burkle lamination press that allows the team to do 8 day lights easily and quickly, and then finally they have the Burkle punches and semi auto collators which can collate and punch out over 20,000 plastic cards per hour.
All this new kit has been brought on to ensure that the Nitecrest group of companies is able to cater for both the large retailers and smaller SMEs which may be looking to invest in the plastic gift and loyalty card schemes.
John Hart, technical director, said: “With the implementation of these five new pieces of kit, we’ve already seen positive results on both the quality and the ease of printing short run plastic cards, some of which include subsurface personalisation that customers are beginning to expect.”
