Nitecrest groups banking division partners with Tag systems

Leyland-based Nitecrest, one of the world’s leading plastic card manufacturer, has partnered its banking division with TAG Systems to create TagNitecrest.

The company will provide a dedicated suite of products and solutions to banks and prepaid payment channels.

Nitecrest, is one of the largest independent producers of plastic cards and operates card manufacturing and personalisation to retailers, banks and telecom operators throughout EMEA. Supplying gift cards, loyalty cards, membership cards, RFID, sim cards and smart EMV banking cards.  The company also has offices in Europe and the Middle East.

Tag systems group is a European smart card and mobile payment solution provider with headquarters and card production site in Andorra and regional sales/service centres in Spain, Poland, Columbia and throughout the Nordics.

Managing director Ronnie Hart, said: "The new partnership will enable Nitecrest group’s banking division to become one of the leading suppliers in the UK.

“We are already recognised as a strong supplier to the prepaid banking markets and this now enables us to compete against global giants in the supply of banking cards to top tier banks.

"The new partnership also enables us to offer mobile solutions based on HCE and tokenization to financial institutions, along with a wide range of smart cards and personalisation services in and around the European continent.

"The physical card market is changing and there are lots of alternative payment solutions such as contactless on the mobile, watches, rings and other devices. This new partnership allows us to offer a full portfolio of alternative solutions to the plastic card.” Tagnitecrest became fully operational on 1 July 2016 with a team composed of professionals from TAG systems and Nitecrest.
