New Training Opportunities with the Future-bound Scheme

Get ready for the launch of our Future-bound Scheme! The new programme, set to take off in the coming weeks, will provide exciting training opportunities for those looking to embark on a career in the logistics industry.

Operating as a structured driver training programme, Future-bound will invite applicants with a UK driving licence to work towards their professional HGV qualifications, beginning with a F&W 3.5T vehicle and allowing for progression through 12T, 18T and 44T vehicles.

“We’ve decided to launch this new scheme in an effort to make it that bit easier for those interested in a career in transport and haulage to break into the industry,” explains F&W Operations Strategy Director, Daniel Wood.

“Participants of the scheme will be given access to a small delivery van, with the aim being for them to progress onto larger delivery vehicles after being put through the relevant training by our experienced, professional team of DVSA and RTITB-approved driving instructors.

“If you’re thinking about switching careers, or if you know someone who is keen to take their first step towards an exciting career in transport, this could be the perfect opportunity, so be sure to register your interest with us and get your application at the ready!”
