New starters for Vincents conveyancing team

By Vincents Solicitors

Lancashire law firm Vincents Solicitors has appointed two new conveyancers and two new support staff to handle the increased number of residential moves, remortgages and equity transfers.

The recruitment drive follows the appointment of Talitha Murphy as the firm’s new head of conveyancing, and the implementation of a policy to employ and train upto eight new fee earners in the department.

Conveyancing solicitor Emma Barton and legal executive Claire Potts have joined the firm’s 15-strong conveyancing team. Emma will be based at Vincents’ Lytham office while Claire joins Talitha Murphy at the Longridge branch. Administrators Rosie Seed and Debbie Robinson have also been drafted in to support the teams in Longridge and Garstang.

Emma Barton is an associate level solicitor with more than 10 years’ conveyancing experience. She joins Vincents from Worralls Solicitors in Longton, near Preston, and prior to that worked at Virtual Blackburn, also in Preston. Claire Potts joins the firm from Solis Law and has 15 years’ conveyancing experience.

Emma said: “It’s a great opportunity to work as part of a large team at Vincents and help to develop the conveyancing department as we continue to recruit more staff to deal with the ever increasing workload. I’m particularly looking forward to working in the Lytham office and getting to know clients in the South Fylde area. It has a strong and active market and provides a good base for clients across Fylde coast.”

Vincents is still looking to recruit further conveyancers and support staff across its network of seven offices. The conveyancing department has seen growth in workload of almost 50 per cent over the last year, reflecting the region’s improving housing market and an increasing customer base instructing Vincents for residential transactions. Talitha Murphy, Vincents’ head of conveyancing said: “With a growing customer base and workload increasing by half, we have expanded the department substantially over the last year. It’s great to welcome Emma and Claire to Vincents, they were both exceptional candidates and, along with Rosie and Debbie, will be a great addition to the team. We’d like to complete our recruitment with new conveyancers and support staff being trained in-house, and welcome applications from anyone with the relevant expertise.”
