Conveyancing solicitor Jennifer McPhee has been appointed to the residential property team at Vincents Solicitors.

Jennifer will join the Lancashire law firm's Garstang office which has seen a significant growth in demand from homebuyers and businesses in the town.

Jennifer, who did her law degree at UCLan in Preston, joins Vincents from Ashcroft Whiteside in her home town of Blackpool. She said: “I really like the close-knit team here at Garstang and hope I can make a significant contribution to growing the business, as well as supporting the existing clients, both residential and commercial.

“I’ll be helping people who are moving home, or buying or leasing commercial premises, by looking after all the legal aspects of the sale and purchase. My job is to make the whole process easier and run more smoothly during a notoriously stressful time, letting clients get on with packing the boxes and redirecting the mail.”

Vincents is in the process of expanding its residential conveyancing team with four new roles created across the business. Jennifer’s arrival at Garstang is the first, and reflects the strong activity in the local property market.

Lisa Lodge, head of the Garstang office, said: “We’re extremely busy at the moment with new instructions coming into the office every day. There is definitely more activity in the residential market around Garstang, and yet more to come with a number of new build developments on the horizon. The commercial market is also extremely active, with units on the high street being snapped up almost as soon as they become available, such is the popularity of the town for new start ups and independent retailers.

“We’re picking up more of that business than ever before. I’d like to think it’s because of our friendly, down-to-earth approach, and fast professional service.

“Bringing in Jennifer will not only help to meet the demand of the current workload, but she will allow us to offer additional more complex conveyancing services and will be supporting our wills and probate clients with regards transfer of property assets. “We’re very pleased to welcome Jennifer to the firm. She is a very driven, committed professional with some great ideas for developing the business, and a friendly manner who I’m sure will be popular with our clients.”
