West Lancashire based independent financial advisor Acumen Financial has strengthened its board with the appointment of two new directors.
The business was founded two decades ago by Angela Maher and manages around £420m of client investments.
Jon Landy and Celia Evans have previously joined the board with Daniel Frampton and Cathy Holme the latest directors to be appointed from within the firm.
Angela Maher, managing director, Acumen Financial said: “Our business continues to grow and to recognise this we have strengthened the board with an eye set firmly on future success.
“We’ve come a long way since I set up Acumen 20 years ago working alone from a spare bedroom and I’m confident we have a strong board in place to ensure continued growth.
“I’m proud of the company’s reputation in the sector with many of the teams’ achievements recognised by their peers.”
Daniel Frampton, who joined Acumen Financial in 2018 as an apprentice, said: “This is a huge personal milestone but without the support of the team I would not have been given time to gain the necessary qualifications or receive the mentoring required to be appointed as a director.
“The board has set out a clear growth strategy and will continue to invest in its people to deliver the best outcomes for its clients.
“The business continues to grow and with more new clients and a record turnover, this year is set to be our best yet. This growth is all part of our strategy to continue building a successful business fit for the future which can change people's lives.”
