New account manager appointed to enhance customer experience

Annmarie Whatmough made her move from multi award-winning performance marketing agency Bring Digital to undertake her new role as account manager with Seriun.

Previously account director at Bring Digital, Annmarie was responsible for creating return-focused eCommerce strategies for global eCommerce brands. Prior to that she held numerous roles in account management within highly regarded local companies including: 21Digital and Door4; arming her with a wealth of knowledge and experience that she brings with her to her new position at Seriun.

A major part of her duties at Seriun involve developing strong and lasting relationships with each customer. Annmarie commented: “I’m really enjoying getting to know every customer personally. Understanding their unique business needs helps me deliver exact-match solutions to improve business operations and accelerate business growth.”

Mark Edwards, operations director at Seriun said: “With a naturally caring, yet progressive attitude, Annmarie fits this role perfectly. She’s already making an impact and is working with the wider team to improve our customers’ overall experience, in line with our XLA.”

In 2020 Seriun developed an XLA (eXperience Level Agreement) to ensure they give every customer, not only a unique experience, but the best experience possible by increasing perceived value. They appointed a new customer experience manager to ensure this happens and to garner valuable customer insight to help improve and develop our managed IT services and solutions.

Annemarie lives in Colne with husband Paul and is the proud mother of Emmy and Luis. When she is not in the office, Annmarie loves to cook nutritional but tasty treats and, in her words, has “a slightly unhealthy obsession with makeup and wellbeing products.” She enjoys sightseeing on her travels and especially enjoyed her time island hopping during her visit to Es Vedra, Ibiza. She also loves to explore ancient cities, such as Rome, which are steeped in history and culture.

Arguably a claim to fame dates back to 2015 when she was one of 3,651 people who collectively made it into the Guinness Book of World Records for “the most people modelling on a catwalk.”

She has always been immersed in the world of digital communication with a career spanning over 18 years in the industry. Inspired by her father, who worked in communications all his life, she would enjoy listening to him regale stories about his work projects over dinner. Her family and lifestyle also influenced her career choices, as she explains: “We were the first family on our street to have the internet at home, we had mobile phones the size of bricks back in the day and gadgets were our thing! I became known as ‘that girl who knows her stuff’ and people would come to me for advice on anything internet related.”

Passionate and driven she is eager to develop her career at Seriun and already has achieved 3CX basic certification, which focusses on Seriun’s latest phone system that they launched early last year. She is also embracing Sales Geeks training programme to help achieve both company and personal goals.
