Net Zero Carbon Conference 24

The Lancashire Net Zero Carbon Conference is returning on June 26 to give businesses the tools, advice and inspiration they need to meet their green goals.

Carbon reduction has never been more important to businesses - recent studies suggest that green issues are a priority for more than 80 per cent of all organisations - yet at the same time £6bn a year is still wasted through poor energy efficiency each year in the UK alone.

Returning after a sell-out audience in its first year, the conference will address this by giving attendees from all sectors and sizes of business the opportunity to meet, hear from and put their questions to experts and business leaders.

All who attend will take away advice, insight, first-hand case studies and workable solutions that can be implemented on a small or large scale to help them reduce their carbon footprint or achieve net zero status.

The event will address what matters to business with learning opportunities and inspiration through panel discussions, interviews and masterclasses.

Organised by multi-media business Lancashire Business View as part of their regular conference series, the event will take place at Ribby Hall Village. The host venue is itself a business undergoing its own major net zero journey and delegates will be able to see and hear about its experiences and progress so far.

The conference is also backed by Trident Utilities, a Red Rose Award-winning energy efficiency specialist, and the University of Central Lancashire, one of the top-ranked universities in the world.

Michael Dugdale, managing director at Trident Utilities said: “I’m proud that Trident are sponsoring the Lancashire Net Zero Carbon Conference, in association with Lancashire Business View and our joint headline sponsors at University of Central Lancashire.

“We’re at the sharp end of net zero, supporting businesses at all stages of their journey, from benchmarking carbon emissions, aligning with Science Based Targets Initiative and turning intent into action on the critical mission to decarbonise their operations.

“I’m delighted that we can contribute to the conference, share best practise and amplify the opportunities available to the Lancashire business community.”

Stephen Bolton, managing director of Lancashire Business View said: “Net zero is top of the agenda as one of the most important challenges facing businesses today.

“But while businesses are eager to do the right thing, knowing how to make the first or next step isn’t always easy, especially so for smaller businesses who may not have the same resources that the bigger businesses do.

“We’re bringing together the best, most qualified experts in the field to give plain-speaking advice as well as those that have gone through the process themselves who can share their experiences and give businesses the confidence they need to pursue their green goals.”

The event will be reviewed in full in Lancashire Business View’s Net Zero Carbon Report in the July/August edition of Lancashire Business View.

There are also sponsor, speaker and exhibitor opportunities still available for those who work within the green sector and want to connect with businesses across the county.

The event is held in association with Trident Utilities and the University of Central Lancashire, and support by Lexus.
