National excellence delivered from the North

The strategic growth plans for AG are well underway, as the ambitious project and building consultancy prepares to spread its northern roots further across the region into the neighbouring city of Liverpool.

With the company on target for doubling in size over the next three years, the strategic move into the metropolitan city is one that supports these plans.

The business has recently moved its Manchester offices to accommodate the growth of its team, seeing them now in Canada House, a beautiful Art Nouveau office building right in the heart of Manchester city centre.

With AG growing 25 per cent year-on-year and the pipeline of work for 2021/22 stronger than ever, the expansion of the workforce is an inevitable factor.

With recent appointments including Gemma Cornwall and Michael Mirdad as assistant building surveyors and Richard Chandler appointed as AG’s latest senior chartered building surveyor, the company believes it’s essential to service its clients with exceptional professionals from within the industry.

Jonathan Shaw,mManaging director commented: “Manchester is a vibrant city to be growing in, the move into the new offices is one that was required to service the clients of our ever growing team.

“We are now extremely excited to be moving into Liverpool, though our roots are still firmly in Lancashire, our ‘birth town.’

“We recognise that as a growing business, the opportunities across the UK and in particular Liverpool, is part of our strategic plan to help us service more of these. It’s a fantastic city and one we are very much looking forward to being part of.”

AG has already started to make roots within the city with the announcement that the company has been appointed by Torus Developments to act as employer’s agent in respect of the proposed redevelopment of Liverpool FC historic training ground on Melwood Drive.

This development will see the creation of a multigenerational community via a mixture of affordable homes together with sports and educational facilities, in conjunction with the newly formed Fowler-Carragher Academy.

With AG already acting as employers agent on circa 1,522 units across Lancashire, Manchester and Cheshire, the company is an expert within the residential sector.

Delivering new build housing estates to bespoke conversions, and providing independent living services, AG is a leading practice in this area, managing the successful delivery of thousands of units at any one time.

Having worked on various projects for Trafford Housing Trust, Sean Dooley stated: “We found AG to be very approachable and friendly – they are problem solvers, helpful, professional and have a great eye for the finer details.

“We will definitely use AG on other projects and I would have no hesitation in recommending them to other clients.”
