Lancashire law firm Napthens has appointed four new trainees to its ranks.

Chris King, Shamin Khan, Charlotte Thornley and Stephanie Marshall have joined the firm, and will now spend time working across a range of services, gaining experience as they train.

Chris, of Bolton, is currently working with the Employment team, following time spent at a large regional law firm where he specialised in commercial property litigation.

Shamin, of Manchester is working within the Commercial Property team, and also joined from a regional firm where he worked as a paralegal specialising in insurance legal matters.

Charlotte, of Bolton, is working with the Commercial Property team. She joins following the completion of her LPC qualification at BPP Law School in Liverpool.

Stephanie, of Southport, joined Napthens in 2013 as a legal assistant with the Residential Property team, and has now gained a trainee position with the same department.

The appointments follow the news that two former trainees at the law firm have now qualified as solicitors – Edward Hamilton qualifies into the Corporate team and David Banks into the Construction and Engineering team.

Partner Helen Lucking said: “The appointment of four trainees demonstrates our commitment to providing clients with the highest level of service.

“The legal sector is a competitive one for those hoping to create a career, and we are convinced that Chris, Shamin, Charlotte and Stephanie will be fine additions to the firm. “During their time as trainees they will have the opportunity to spend time in a range of departments before they settle on a specialism, and I know the teams will make them very welcome in their first steps towards a new career.”
