Mr Charger rebrands with Hotfoot Design

Mr Charger, the nationwide electric vehicle charging point installer, has undertaken a comprehensive rebrand led by Hotfoot Design, the multi-award-winning creative agency based in Lancaster.

The rebrand follows a period of significant growth for Mr Charger as it has opened local franchises across the UK to meet the escalating demand for EV charging points from homeowners and businesses.

Hotfoot has created a new visual identity, website and a broad range of assets as part of the rebrand, including vehicle livery and workwear. The team at Hotfoot are also working on an ongoing basis with Mr Charger to provide design and web support and to manage its social media, PPC and email marketing campaigns.

Charlie Haywood, creative director at Hotfoot, said: "We love to work with fast-growing ambitious clients in innovative sectors and Mr Charger fits the bill perfectly. Working in collaboration with the team at Mr Charger we developed a dynamic new identity to reflect the company's value proposition as an established national brand with a local presence.

"It was also important to create a brand that is agile enough to adapt as Mr Charger enters new markets in the green energy space, from solar power to home energy storage."

Martin Wells, co-founder at Mr Charger said, "We appointed Hotfoot to give our growing brand a bold and distinctive new look to stand out in the busy EV and home energy market. We are hugely impressed with the creativity, expertise and collaborative approach of the Hotfoot team and we are already seeing the results in terms of customer enquiries and feedback. We are excited about our potential for growth with our new 'Energy everything' strapline at the heart of our strategy."

Verity Agababian, marketing manager at Hotfoot, said: "Working with Mr Charger on their ongoing marketing activity has been a truly collaborative process from day one. We love to feel like an extension of our clients’ teams - working together to create campaigns that increase brand awareness, educate target audiences on the benefits of EV charging, and cut through the noise of a busy industry with bespoke and relevant content. We’re always coming up with innovative ways to highlight the fantastic things Mr Charger offers to their customers, and we’re really excited for what’s to come as they expand their services into solar and battery storage.”

Surrey-based Mr Charger is one of the UK’s leading providers of electric vehicle charging and energy storage solutions for both domestic and commercial clients; supplying, installing, and maintaining a variety of EV charging stations and assisting customers in embracing zero-carbon solutions. With the Government’s commitment to ending the sale of petrol and diesel cars by 2030, electric car charging stations are set to become the norm, rather than the exception.

Hotfoot Design provides brand, website and marketing campaign services to clients in the private and public sectors across the UK. The Lancaster-based agency works with clients including Rolls-Royce, the NHS, DCC plc and AMRC.
