Motor dealerships invest in expansion
Perrys Motor Sales has expanded its Nelson dealership while North West Honda has invested in a £1m super centre for motorcycles in Blackpool.
Perrys, which owned and operated a Peugeot dealership at Lomeshaye Industrial Estate, has expanded the site to include Citroen.
The company has upgraded the nine car showroom and customer service areas. Staff numbers have increased, with 34 now employed across sales, service, parts, admin and accounts. It also has a range of over 80 used cars and vans on site.
Denise Millard, executive director at Perrys Motor Sales, commented: “The integrated site is great news for Nelson, securing and creating jobs."
Meanwhile the North West Honda motorcycle group, which is part of the Cox Motor Group, has combined its Lancaster and Blackpool sites into one at a cost of £1m.
The company's Lancaster operation opened in 2000 and has sold close to 8,000 new and used motorcycles during that time. They have serviced, repaired and MOT’d more than 12,000 bikes and scooters during that period, as well as kitting out many more.
Lancaster's stock, people and expertise will relocate to Blackpool, and the new expanded Honda Super Centre will open on October 1.
