Full-service design and marketing agency Motionlab has hired seven new members of staff as the firm continues to experience exponential growth.

Motionlab’s online marketing team has been strengthened with the arrival of three online marketing executives; Jake Oates, George Johnson and Janie Anderson, plus new social media executive Sam Wright.

Jake possesses an extensive agency background. Most recently, he spent three and a half years at Custard Media where he assisted their content and SEO teams.

He will enjoy a similar role at Motionlab, working on multiple client accounts and commented: “I'm excited to have been given the opportunity to join Motionlab; all I've heard is good things from two ex-employees, Darren Wilson and Danny Greaves.”

Further demonstrating their commitment for employing and nurturing promising young talent, Motionlab has taken on three recent graduates, two from the nearby University of Central Lancashire and another from Liverpool Hope University.

George attained an Advertising and Marketing Communications degree and will be responsible for maintaining and creating new PPC campaigns, whilst Janie, a History graduate, will assist with all daily SEO duties.

Completing the team is Sam Wright who since graduating has worked in a number of freelance roles, specialising in social media and copywriting, most recently for Brighton-based e-learning experts Charanga Ltd.

“I'm delighted to join the Motionlab team. The growth the company is going through is exciting and I look forward to being a part of that. It was important for me to join an agency that shows creativity and ambition and I feel that this is exactly the right place to be.”

Following Motionlab’s highly successful creative and marketing involvement in the Fabricator Installer Trade (FIT) Show, Jo Kerrigan has been appointed Project Manager of the event ahead of the campaign launch for next year’s exhibition.

Jo has over 15 years’ experience in on and offline marketing and account management working with many well-known brands including Marks & Spencer, Staples, WHSmith, Debenhams, Save the Children and NSPCC.

“I'm very pleased to have been given the opportunity to work with not just one award-winning team but two - Motionlab and the FIT team!”

Sharon Gillibrand also becomes the new finance manager for the firm after spending the past 27 years undertaking a number of financial/relationship management roles for Natwest/RBS across both Cheshire and Lancashire.

And finally, Dave Entwistle comes in as a creative designer where he will be tasked with developing new concepts and branding designs that maintain the agency’s high standard of creativity and attention to detail. "Coming from a predominantly print background I’m really looking forward to the challenge of integrating into such a successful digital creative agency using the skills I already have and picking up new ones along the way.”
