Moore and Smalley launches new SE+ cloud accounting service for small enterprises

Accountancy and business advisory firm, Moore and Smalley, has launched a new cloud-based accounting service for the region’s small enterprises.

Moore and Smalley SE+ uses software provided by Intuit QuickBooks to allow small businesses to manage their accounts, financial compliance and other business functions on the go. The technology is compatible on all devices such as PCs, Macs, phones, tablets and even the Apple Watch.

Moore and Smalley SE+ clients will also receive access to the firm’s award winning accountancy, VAT and tax specialists as part of the service, with prices starting from £50 per month. The service is aimed at start-up companies to £1.2million turnover businesses.

As part of the launch, Moore and Smalley has made a significant investment in a staff training programme, giving the firm 60 trained QuickBooks advisers – the highest from a single accountancy firm in the UK.

Danny Houghton, business development partner at Moore and Smalley, said: “We’ve invested in creating an accountancy service relevant for today’s modern small business owner that blends the very best in cloud accounting with a relationship with one of our trusted advisers.

“Owners of small enterprises can often find themselves burdened by financial admin, having to spend more time in the office to manage their accounts. SE+ uses a very intuitive software platform, speeding up the accounting process and giving owners the flexibility of managing their accounts and key business information anytime, anywhere and anyplace, providing they have access to the internet.”

Rob Hoyle of Intuit QuickBooks, said: “The service will appeal to those business owners that want to use technology to improve efficiencies. It’s a very easy-to-use platform that will help them work smarter, creating time to grow their business.

“Having worked with Moore and Smalley on creating the service, it’s clear the firm has a great team of specialists committed to helping their clients. The combination of the software and advice will equip its clients with a beneficial service for the modern business world.” Judith Dugdale, corporate services director at Moore and Smalley, said: “While technology is at the heart of SE+, having a dedicated adviser as part of the service is crucial. Trusted, specialist advice is still at the heart of our brand. However, we’re committed to looking at new ways to help our clients streamline the accounting process, which can often be a time-consuming burden to business owners.”
